I’m sure many of you will have heard that Hilary and Ray Wyer had the experience we all dread when their young bitch Charlotte disappeared from their garden last Saturday morning. After a frantic day searching for her in the surrounding fields they let out their Rottweiler bitch Nettle, who was nursing puppies in the house. She quickly tracked naughty Charlotte to the place she had settled, uncharacteristically quietly, not too far away. Thankfully all was well.

Hilary thanks everyone who offered support or to join the search party; she is very grateful for their kindness.

Don’t forget that our CC allocation has changed this year and, as well as at WELKS and Leeds, we have now regained CCs at that lovely show at Kelso, Border Union on June 16. Judge is Linda Preston (Willinda) (with husband Willie doing Cardis without CCs, not as stated in the schedule). Entries close soon.

You can have a double day’s showing as the League’s Scottish section is holding its open show after the ch show judging, with judge Lars Saether (Pemcader).

A Pembroke specialty was held in Moscow on the same day as the ‘My Moscow’ all-breed show and it proved to be an exciting day for GCh/Blr Ch Vevladfi Giv Dzhoy, a bobtail dog owned by Stanislav Vorobev and handled by Olga Shilova.

First he won the breed show under Bjørn Erling Løken (Analog Cardis from Norway). At the general show he was BOB under Rui Alves Monteiro, topped the group under Miodrag Vretenicic and ended up BIS under our own Mark Cocozza.

He is by Ch Beato-Bob de Gli Antichi Molossi (a son of Garnfach Top Notch at Ermyn) ex Ch Vevladi Aurora.

Hoping for news of the Australian National for next week. It’s held every other year in a different part of the country, this time in New South Wales.
