Christmas news from the League

Not much news as the year winds down. Several Pem exhibitors are keeping the flag flying at the open shows, including Tracy and Kath Irving whose Twinan Shake The Tree made an exciting debut at six months and a week by taking BP, BOB, the group and puppy group at Darwen under Stuart Payne. It was a good day all round as they also won the terrier group with a Russell and Twinan Make Mine A Smoothie (Twinan Dip Yer Butty ex Ch Creslow Classified at Twinan) won a group in Macedonia and gained his title there.

A couple of weeks ago Kim Warner’s Meitza Erik The King was BOB and G2 at Stroud under Maureen Betts with Lynne Creech’s Zydahayes Sir Bruce taking BP, PG1 and BPIS!

American specialist Bill Shelton (Coventry) judged at the big end-of-year show in Stockholm and BOB went to Finland in Anneli Sutela’s tri bitch Ch Annline’s Im Dressed In My Own Design (Am Ch Triad Dressed For Success ex Ch Annline’s A Design Of Hope) who ended up G2 behind the eventual BIS winner under András Korózs. Rita Wilberg’s Australian import Int Ch Bojojamile Behind The News was second with her pups in the progeny group competition.

The League’s Christmas newsletter has just arrived - thanks as ever to Kevin Egan for his hard work. There are reports and photos from various Pem events at home and beyond, including the League ch show. Enclosed is a flyer for the Southern section summer party on July 21, details of handbook advertising (get your skates on!), the green card with 2019 judges and the ballot for the executive committee. Diana King and Sarah Taylor aren’t seeking re-election so a good time to thank them for all they have done for the League over so many years, between them occupying most of the major roles in both the executive and Southern section, as well as running the spectacular 1998 diamond jubilee show.
