Breed CC record equalled

The CC win at the Scottish Kennel Club under Judy Down (Elessar) was another significant one in the career of Ch Pemcader Thunderball. It was his fifty-seventh and thereby equals the CC record held by the bitch Ch Penliath Shooting Star.

In case you have forgotten, he is owned by Kevin Dover and Lars Saether and is a bobtail by Ch Pemcader Belroyd Zeus ex Pemcader Black Glamour. He also added to his list of group places with G3 from Valerie Foss.

BCC, a fourth, went to his daughter, Hannah and Pat Fawcett’s Ch Whitebarn Sea Shell (ex Whitebarn Tabitha Twitchit).

It was another father/daughter in the reserves, Teresa Maddox taking both small greed cards with Redfordhill Magic Moments for Salvenik (one CC, Dan Ch Mistycor Once Upon A Dream ex Dan Ch Vuedor Could It Be Magic) and Salvenik Summer Rosebud (one CC, ex Ch Bertley Summer Rose with Salvenik).

Best puppy went to Kay Hogg’s Daleabbey’s Anything Goes Keltybrae (Merthyr Wanda-Win The Toss for Ryslip ex Craigycor Lady Million at Daleabbey) and she too upheld the breed’s honour in the big ring with PG4 under Toni Jackson.

Dave and Jaine Asbridge’s Ch Chililabomwe Snowdrop (Ch Salvenik Star Made ex Chililabomwe Titania) was BV. Meitza Erik The King was fourth in the Good Citizen stakes under Sharon Pinkerton.

Several good successes to report round the open shows. Kim Warner’s Erik has qualified for the junior warrant winners semi-final at Discover Dogs with second place in the West Country Dog Club heat.

Hilary and Ray Wyer’s Cottivy Cappuccino won BOB, G2 and PG1 at Salisbury and South Wilts under Felicity Snook and ended up BPIS from Laurie Hunt.

Pontarddulais was the first show for Mary Davies’ baby Clairmar Red River through Ermyn and she took BP, PG1 and the puppy stakes.

The American specialty season has started in earnest and the latest is the Western Reserve judged by. BOB was Deb Shindle’s nine-year-old bitch GChP Riverside Get Over It (Ch Aberlee Phantom Sequence ex GCh Riverside Wicked Wonderful) and BOS Dan Hartman and Debbie Royster’s tri GChS Lionhart’s All About Harry (GCh Martindale Black Bart ex GCh Lionhart’s Cameo Appearance) whose daughter won the previous two specialties.
