Benji BOB at ten years

At sunny Southern Counties our judge was Jeff Horswell (Drakesleat Dachshunds, Field Spaniels etc) who gave the dog CC, his eleventh, BV and BOB to Mary Davies’ tri Ch/Rus/Ukr Ch Ermyn Snow Knight (Ch/Am Ch Rosewood Set Sail to Salvenik ex Wharrytons Pansy Potter at Ermyn).

At ten years ‘Benji’ is certainly replicating the lasting qualities of his great-grandsire ‘Wings’; even more remarkable that it was in 2009 that he won his first CC as a minor puppy! Can’t Imagine many dogs of any breed have won CCs over such a long period. Today he was group shortlisted by Tamás Jakkel.

The other green cards proved rather cosmopolitan with the BCC, her second, going to Amanda Rees’ Australian import Aus Ch Jopearl First Noelle at Breconmohr for Stadwen (Aus Ch/ Am GCh Hum’sbird Rock Your Socks ex Aus Ch Jopearl A Little Night Music).

RDCC was Teresa Maddox’s Danish boy Redfordhill Magic Moments for Salvenik (Dan Ch Mistycor Once Upon A Dream ex Dan Ch Vuedor Could It Be Magic who is a granddaughter of the BOB) and RBCC Ena Ellwood’s Latvian tri Amberynlea Dark Desire with Ellhar (one CC, Int/Pol Ch Mapleleaf Wisus The Knight In Black ex Int/Lat/Lit/Est/Cz Ch Tuja Medaus Lietus).

Tracy and Kath Irving took BP with Twinan Shake The Tree (Twinan Dip Yer Butty ex Twinan Just The Ticket) who was PG4 under Howard Ogden (with their Cardi pup also shortlisted).

This society has no fewer than five sets of groups and a good day for Ellhar and Salvenik was added to when Ena’s Salvenik Silk Rose for Ellhar (one CC, by the RDCC ex Bertley Autumnal Rose with Salvenik) was fourth in the junior group judged by Jill Peak.

Meanwhile Noelle’s co-breeder John Burgess (Breconmohr) was judging at the Gaitway specialty in the US. BOB was Yolanda Lininger and Sharon Cerny’s dog Ch Double G’s Linincorgi Adele’s The Eleventh Day NA NAJ CGC (GCh Rosewood Sea Quest ex Double Gs Catamarans Rolling In The Deep) and BOS Bill Shelton, Steve Leyerly, Beckie Williams and Deborah Salow’s GChS Coventry Good Vibrations (Ch Alenclaud Tony Ash ex GChB Coventry Swinging On A Star).
