All quiet for three months

Hoping everyone stays safe during this most uncertain of times. Clearly our little world is going to be just as much affected as are all other activities which involve people coming together. The Kennel Club's advice is no shows etc until the beginning of July. No doubt show secretaries will keep us all informed, and there is already a FB group listing shows which have been cancelled or postponed.

South Wales Corgi ch show due to be held this weekend has been postponed. Further details from Wendy or Amanda Rees. The League’s East Anglian Sub-Section has postponed its AGM until further notice. Details from Joanna Hayward. The Southern Section’s AGM, postponed from last Sunday, is now on Sunday July 26 at 1.15pm. Details: Bonnie Wiles.

The Welsh Corgi Club open show on March 28 has been cancelled and its AGM postponed. Details: John Essenhigh. Dawn Woodey was excited to hear that her Barawood Summer Solace, who has been staying in Australia with Joan and Bob Hutton, has completed her title there subject to confirmation. Must be quite a while since a British Pem became an Australian champion. And just in time, I see, as all shows etc in New South Wales and several other states have now been suspended. She is the first champion Dawn has bred and is by Ch Pemcader Thunderball ex Barawood Soul Singer whose dam, Aus Ch Bojojamile Body N Soul at Barawood, she imported from Joan and Bob. In the US the Ohio Valley specialty went ahead, with the judge being Tim Mathiesen (Nebriowa). BOB went to the classes in the shape of the bred-by-exhibitor bitch, Janet Bodin and Yolanda Lininger’s tri Peri Lane Linincorgi Highway Star (Ch Double G’s Linincorgi Adele’s The Eleventh Day RI NA NAJ CGC ex Ch Double G’s Catamarans That Kind Of Girl), who became a champion on the day. She had been best of winners and best bred by at last year’s National under Patty Gailey and Leif Herman Wilberg. It was an exciting double as BOS went to her sire who is owned by Sharon Cerny and Yolanda and is by GCh Rosewood Sea Quest ex Double G’s Catamarans Rolling In The Deep. SIMON PARSONS
